Aristou Achieves CSA Cyber Essentials Mark: Strengthening Security, Building Trust

At Aristou, we believe that digital transformation is not only about helping businesses work smarter. It is also about making sure the systems, data, people and processes behind that transformation are managed responsibly and securely.

We are therefore pleased to announce that Aristou has achieved the Cyber Essentials Mark (CEM), awarded under the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA)’s Cyber Essentials certification framework.

For our customers and partners, this achievement represents the work we have put into strengthening our cybersecurity practices and maintaining the standards required to support the Microsoft Business Central solutions and services we deliver.

What Is the Cyber Essentials Mark (CEM)?

The Certification for the Cyber Essentials Mark is a national cybersecurity certification launched by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) to recognize organizations that have established good foundational cyber hygiene practices to protect themselves and their customers from common cyber-attacks.

These measures cover key areas such as:

  • People – Equipping employees with the knowledge to play their part in cybersecurity

  • Hardware, software and assets – Knowing what systems and technology are in use and protecting them appropriately

  • Data – Understanding what data the organization holds and how it is secured

  • Access control – ensuring access to systems and information is appropriately managed

  • Secure configuration and updates – Maintaining secure settings and keeping software up to date

  • Backups – Protecting essential data through secure backups

  • Incident response – Being prepared to detect, respond to and recover from cybersecurity incidents

In other words, CEM is about establishing the essential foundations that help an organization protect its operations, people and information.

For customers, this provides a clearer and more practical way to understand how seriously an organization approaches cybersecurity.

Why Is Cybersecurity Important for Our Customers?

When you work with an ERP partner, you are not simply purchasing the software.

You are trusting that partner to work with important business processes, systems and information that can be central to your day-to-day operations.

At Aristou, our work spans the provision of Microsoft Business Central solutions, including demos, workflows, implementation, configuration and helpdesk support services. That responsibility makes security an important part of the service we provide.

A successful digital transformation should not introduce unnecessary security concerns but give you a greater confidence that your systems are being supported with care, discipline and accountability.

That is why cybersecurity is part of how we serve our customers.

Our Commitment to Serve You Better

As a pre-approved vendor under IMDA’s SMEs Go Digital programme, Aristou is required to attain the Cyber Essentials Mark as part of the Annual Review requirements for maintaining our pre-approved vendor status.

We take that requirement seriously. Achieving CEM required our team to invest significant time and effort into reviewing our systems, processes, practices and controls, working through the certification requirements, addressing areas that needed improvement and undergoing the necessary assessment process.

It was a demanding journey, however also a valuable one.

The process gave us an opportunity to take a closer look at how we operate and to strengthen the foundations that support the services we provide to our customers.

For us, the value of certification is not simply in receiving the mark at the end. It is in the discipline, accountability and continuous improvement required to earn it.

What This Means for Aristou Customers

For our existing customers, CEM is another indication of our continued commitment to responsible and secure service delivery.

For SMEs considering Aristou as their technology partner, it provides an additional layer of assurance when evaluating who they entrust with their digital transformation.

And for our partners and the wider business community, it reflects our belief that technology providers have a responsibility to take cybersecurity seriously- not only when required to do so, but as an ongoing part of good business practice.

Cybersecurity is an ongoing evolution- technology changes, Threats evolve, businesses adopt new systems, and increasingly intelligent technologies.

Building Trust, One Step at a Time

At Aristou, our goal has always been to help businesses use technology with greater confidence.

That means more than implementing an ERP system or automating a business process. It means understanding the responsibility that comes with being a technology partner and doing our part to create a secure, reliable environment for our customers.

Achieving the CSA Cyber Essentials Mark is an important milestone in that journey.

We are proud of the work our team has put into achieving it, but more importantly, we see it as a commitment to the businesses that place their trust in us.

Whether you are exploring Microsoft Business Central or simply want to understand how digital transformation could work for your organization, our team is here to help.
