Aristou will be at InvoiceNow Fair 2026
GST InvoiceNow Requirement Is Coming: Is Your Business Ready?
Singapore’s digital transformation journey is accelerating, and InvoiceNow is set to play a key role in the future of tax administration.
As announced during the Ministry of Finance’s Committee of Supply (COS) Debate 2026, all GST-registered businesses in Singapore will progressively be required to adopt InvoiceNow and transmit invoice data directly to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) through the InvoiceNow network.
The implementation will take place in phases between April 2028 and April 2031, marking a significant step towards a more efficient, automated, and digitalised tax ecosystem.
While the deadline may seem some years away, businesses that prepare early will be better positioned to ensure compliance, streamline operations, and take advantage of available support schemes.
What Is Changing?
InvoiceNow is Singapore’s nationwide e-invoicing network that enables businesses to send and receive invoices digitally in a structured format.
Under the upcoming GST InvoiceNow Requirement, GST-registered businesses will be required to transmit invoice data directly to IRAS through the InvoiceNow network.
This initiative aims to reduce manual processes, improve tax reporting accuracy, enhance productivity, and support Singapore’s broader Smart Nation vision.
